Bass Tracker taking on h2o

I bought a used Bass Tracker Pro Crappie 175 first time I had it out for near 3 hours noticed in that location was a good bit of water in the bilge area. Yesterday I took information technology out and after almost 6 hours I turned effectually and there was a good bit of h2o in the dorsum expanse behind the seats. So later on ruining a pair of good underwear and finishing fishing for the 24-hour interval the question is vesture practise I first to look for the leak. Today I took the boat while on the trailer and filled it with water a piffling scrap of water came out of the intake to the back live well just a piddling trickle then stopped. I inspected the hull no cracks. I filled it with a adept bit of water but other than that little bit when I first started filling I didn't get whatsoever water. Any ideas guys?

If the gunkhole was stored uncovered what might be happening is the foam has absorbed water and it is moving from the front end to the rear of the gunkhole. I would become under the gunkhole and also check for loose rivets. Is the transom rotted ? Sometimes that can let h2o to seep in around the bolts that penetrate the transom . Skillful luck finding it and I promise information technology is something unproblematic for you lot to gear up.

I store it with a cover on it and it's a welded hull. I'll jack the forepart all the way up and run into if any water moves to the rear. Cheers

Does it mean anything if I've never turned the alive wells on? This is the first boat I've had with all that stuff on it. And I don't know anyone with a gunkhole that I can inquire these things. But I'1000 gonna take information technology out at present and watch all the fittings and stuff and either sink or find the leak.

Then yesterday I go out at first it didn't seem similar I was getting much water in the boat kept my eyes on all the hoses and fittings in the bilge area just didn't run into whatever water coming in. Then I started fishing from the rear of the boat went to check and noticed I was getting a lot of water. Today I took all the hull fittings and live well aerators out of the bilge area and inspected them merely couldn't meet anything. I pulled the rear bait well bucket up and when I did the top of the aerator came off I didn't pull very hard. The aerator is one of the cartridge mode made by Mayfair that just turn to lock in place but the locking tabs are missing. Is information technology possible or probable I was getting h2o through that aerator ?

accept you checked the drain plug, is it new, are you lot getting it nice and snug/tight? Is the actual bleed hole damaged, out of circular, etc. ?

Yep, exactly what was happening on my boat. If that livewell pump is loose or comes apart, you got a major leak. Tabs on mine were ok but it turned and was leaking. I drilled a couple tiny holes and put some "safe wire" thru the tab area. Will keep it from loosening up. I besides suggest plugging the livewell plumbing thru hull fittings to encounter if that solves your leak effect, just takes a couple corks as a temp solution to find the trouble.

While I already have everything autonomously I've decided to replace all thru hull fittings and the ii aerators that go through the hull since they are 7 years old. I just hope it's not 1 of the lines nether the decking.

Check the bottom of the transom, where the weld meets the bottom of the boat. This expanse is super thin and is notorious for cracking. I know of most a 6 Trackers with this problem.

My aerator pump had a fissure at fitting on pump. The cork would be a way to tell if your taking water through its entry hole.
With cartridge being loose yours is suspect maybe.

Well I found my leak so I figured I'd update this postal service in example anyone has this problem and finds this in their search for answers. I put a drain plug in the alive well drain for the dorsum bait well and alive well. Left it over night didn't leak a drop of water. So I plugged the drain hole for the front allurement well, live well. And could run across I was losing water correct away. Merely couldn't encounter where I was losing it from if i was getting a few drips from the o band in the aerator simply this was a steady leak. So lifting the bait well bucket with the hoses attached couldn't meet whatever water loss at all. And so I set the bait well downwards and looked through a tiny crack with a flashlight certain plenty water gushed out of the one 1/eight bleed hose where in that location was a kink in information technology. Information technology was pure luck I found it crusade once you lot lift it upwardly just a tiny bit and the hose was straight the water wouldn't come out. I spent most $300 bucks replacing stuff that I thought it could be instead of looking a little harder and spending two bucks for a 90 caste elbow and $ane.27 for hose. But that's boating and life.

But, look at it this style, your boat has a lot of new parts that it didn't have before and that's iii hundred dollars that you didn't spend on foolishness.
